What I Offer

It might be time to address REDs head-on. But don't worry, you're not alone.

I've put in a lot of time researching and tweaking my approach to make sure my clients get the best results. Success is most attainable when clients are all in, ready to dive deep into their health journey.

Starting this journey can be challenging and unpredictable. Progress may not always follow a linear path due to the psychological intricacies of REDs, and there might be times when we need to break things down before building you back up into a healthier, more high-performing version of yourself. Here's what you can look forward to during our journey together:

Education & Awareness

Understand what REDs is, its risk factors, signs, symptoms, and impacts on health and performance. Early detection and intervention are vital, alongside maintaining optimal nutrition and energy balance. I'm here to facilitate a supportive environment and provide updates on the latest research and guidelines, enabling us to collaboratively devise an effective prevention and management strategy.

Psychological Support

Education about psychological factors associated with REDs, including body image issues, disordered eating patterns, stress management, and mental health concerns. Clients are provided with screening tools to help them self-identify these challenges, prompting them to seek therapy and counseling support from licensed mental health professionals as needed.

Nutritional Assessment

Track both energy intake and expenditure, coupled with basic dietary guidance. Using the Cronometer app, I monitor dietary recall and energy availability, utilizing caloric intake data. This information is then inputted into a validated Energy Availability - Energy Balance calculator, ensuring precise assessment of your energy availability status.

Communication & Collaboration

Facilitate open dialogue and teamwork among all involved parties, including athletes, coaches, medical professionals, nutritionists, psychologists, and other relevant team members. I proactively engage with your care team to identify and address any gaps in care, ensuring seamless information sharing and coordination among all team members.

Performance Optimization & Recovery

Collaborate with coaches and trainers to ensure appropriate training loads, recovery strategies, and performance goals are being encouraged and implemented while prioritizing health. I offer general rehab guidance for athletes recovering from injuries resulting from REDs, and help facilitate a structured return to sport.

Health Review

Assess your overall well-being, address any concerns and closely monitor physiological markers affected by REDs, such as reproductive function, hormones, and bone health. You can opt to submit lab work for hormone assessment, which I'll review and discuss with you. Using guidelines endorsed by organizations like the IOC REDs CAT2, I conduct a REDs Stratification Assessment to identify characteristics of Low Energy Availability (LEA) impacting your body systems.

As a healthcare consultant operating within wellness coaching, I provide holistic guidance without diagnosing or treating medical conditions. If you have health concerns, I recommend consulting your primary care provider (PCP) for further evaluation and treatment.
